What Is Included in an Interior Car Detail?

People search "interior car detailing near me" expecting very different things. Here is exactly what a real interior detail includes, and what separates it from a quick vacuum.

What does an interior detail include?

A professional interior detail includes a full vacuum, dusting and wipe-down of every hard surface, cleaning of vents, cup holders and door jambs, glass inside, and — at the full level — steam cleaning plus carpet and seat shampoo or leather cleaning and conditioning.

  • Vacuum seats, carpets, mats and trunk
  • Dash, console, door panels and vents cleaned
  • Interior glass streak-free
  • Steam and hot-water extraction on fabric (full)
  • Leather cleaned and conditioned (full)

Standard vs full interior

Interior Standard ($100 small) is upkeep: vacuum, dust, wipe-down. Interior Full ($175 small) is restoration: steam, shampoo and stain work. If your car hasn't been cleaned in months, the full is the right choice.

How to prepare

Remove personal items from the console, glove box and seats before we arrive. It lets us spend your time on cleaning, not moving belongings.

Questions people ask

About 1 hour for a standard and 2.5 hours for a full on a small car; larger vehicles take longer.
Most stains come out with the right method, but some dyes and old set-in stains can only be lightened. We tell you honestly up front.
