Ceramic Coating on a Black Car: Is It Worth It?

Black paint looks incredible clean and terrible dirty. It shows every swirl, water spot and scratch.
Should you ceramic coat a black car?
Yes — black and dark cars benefit most from ceramic coating. Coating deepens the gloss, reduces wash-induced swirls and makes dust and water spots easier to remove. Because dark paint shows every defect, a paint correction before coating (Level 2 or 3) is strongly recommended.
Paint color and brand matter
Some paints are soft (common on many Japanese brands) and mar easily; others are very hard (common on many German brands) and need more aggressive correction. Knowing the difference is the job.
